Apple Authorized Reseller in Dubai: How to Verify One Before You Buy
To check whether a shop in Dubai is an Apple Authorized Reseller, use Apple's own locator at locate.apple.com, choose the United Arab Emirates, and open the Sales section, which lists Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Resellers. If the business is not there, a logo in the window or the word "authorised" on an invoice does not make it one. Then check the separate Service section if you also need repairs, keep a tax invoice that shows the serial number, and confirm the warranty terms that apply to a device sold in the UAE.
One thing first, so nobody wastes a click: Codeeo Tech does not sell Apple products and is not on Apple's reseller list. We supply business hardware from other brands, and near the end of this guide we point to Windows alternatives for companies that are not tied to macOS. The rest of the article is a neutral checklist you can use with any seller in the UAE.
Why the Apple Authorized Reseller label matters for a business
For a single personal purchase, the label is mostly about confidence that the box is genuine and new. For a company buying ten or fifty Macs, it carries more weight, for three practical reasons.
- Device enrolment. Apple's business platform can add devices automatically when they were bought from Apple or from a participating authorised seller that links them to its Reseller Number. Devices bought elsewhere have to be added by hand.
- Warranty country. Apple's Mac warranty allows Apple to restrict warranty service to the country or region where Apple or its Authorized Resellers originally sold the device. A unit imported privately from another market may not be serviced locally on the same terms.
- Paper trail. Auditors, insurers and Apple's own support all start from proof of purchase. A traceable UAE tax invoice from a listed seller removes most arguments.
Using Apple's locator for the United Arab Emirates
Apple's locator page for the UAE, at locate.apple.com/ae/en, offers three separate searches. They answer different questions, and mixing them up is the most common mistake.
| Locator section | What Apple lists there | Use it to check |
|---|---|---|
| Sales | Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Resellers | Whether a shop is approved to sell new Apple products |
| Service and Support | Apple Stores, Apple Authorized Service Providers and online support | Where warranty and paid repairs can be done |
| Business and Education | The Apple Partner Network, partners offering services from product sales to technical support | Companies that deploy and support Apple at scale |
Search the Sales section by area, then match what you find against the trade name on the seller's invoice and trade licence. A branch of a chain may appear under the chain's brand rather than the legal company name, so look for the address as well as the name. If the exact branch you are standing in is missing, ask the staff which listed entity they belong to and check that the invoice is issued by that entity.
Take a screenshot of the listing with the date visible and keep it with the purchase file. Listings change, and a dated record answers the question later if a warranty claim is disputed.
Reseller versus Authorized Service Provider
The two titles are separate programmes. Being on one list says nothing about the other.
Apple describes its Apple Authorized Service Provider programme as designed for companies offering in warranty and out of warranty repair for Apple products, with access to genuine Apple parts, tools, training, service guides and diagnostics. Its programme page says Authorized Apple Resellers can apply to become service providers, which tells you the reverse is not automatic: a reseller is not a repair centre unless it is also listed under Service.
For a business this means two checks before a bulk order:
- Is the seller listed under Sales? That covers the purchase.
- Where will repairs go? Find the nearest listed service location to your office, or confirm the seller is listed under Service too. Apple's Mac warranty describes carry in service at Apple Retail or an Apple Authorized Service Provider, so a listed service location is where a fault normally ends up.
What Apple's warranty actually says about where you can claim
There is a common belief that a Mac warranty is "global", meaning any Apple location anywhere must repair it. Apple's published Mac warranty text is more careful than that, and the difference matters if your staff travel or if devices were bought abroad.
- Apple says service is limited to the options available in the country where service is requested, and that parts availability and response times vary by country.
- Apple may restrict warranty service for hardware to the country or region where Apple or its Authorized Resellers originally sold the device.
- If you seek service outside the country of purchase, you may be responsible for shipping, customs duties, VAT and other charges.
- Apple or its agents may ask for proof of purchase before providing service.
The same text names Apple Distribution International in Ireland as the warrantor for most of Europe, Africa and the Middle East, but expressly excludes Saudi Arabia and the UAE, which have their own Apple entity listed on Apple's warranty obligor page. A Mac bought in the UAE is therefore covered by the UAE version of the terms. That is a strong argument for buying company Macs through a listed UAE seller rather than bringing them in from another market to save a little.
Before you rely on cover for a specific machine, enter its serial number on checkcoverage.apple.com, which Apple's own support pages point to for confirming the model and coverage status.
The invoice: what a proper one shows
An authorised seller's invoice should stand up on its own if Apple, your auditor or an insurer asks to see it. Check for:
- The seller's legal name and trade licence number, matching the entity you found in the locator.
- Its Tax Registration Number, and VAT shown as a separate line.
- Your company's legal name, not an employee's name, so the asset belongs to the business.
- The exact model, configuration and keyboard layout.
- The serial number of every unit. Without it, the invoice cannot be tied to a specific device.
- The date of sale, which starts the warranty clock.
If a seller resists putting serial numbers on the invoice, take that as information. Genuine stock from a listed reseller has serials that can be printed without difficulty. Our guide to genuine versus grey market hardware in the UAE covers the same checks for other brands.
Business enrolment and the Reseller Number
On 24 March 2026, Apple announced Apple Business, a single platform with built in device management that replaced Apple Business Manager, Apple Business Essentials and Apple Business Connect from 14 April 2026. For a company buying Macs, the important part is how devices get into it.
Apple's guide says that when you buy directly from a participating Apple Authorized Reseller, that reseller has to link the devices to its Reseller Number, and your organisation has to add that Reseller Number to its list of approved suppliers. The reseller's sales history then decides when the devices become eligible. Devices bought any other way can still be added manually with Apple Configurator, but that is a hands on step per device.
So when you ask a listed seller for a quote, ask three extra questions:
- Do you participate in Apple's business device enrolment, and what is your Reseller Number?
- Will you link this order to our organisation once we add you as a supplier?
- How long after delivery do the devices normally appear?
Apple's feature availability page for Apple Business lists the UAE with built in device management, Managed Apple Accounts and zero touch deployment, so this route is open to UAE companies.
Checking each Mac when the order arrives
Verification does not end at the counter. When a business order is delivered, spend a few minutes per machine before handing it to a user, because problems are far easier to raise on day one than in month eleven.
- Match the serial number three ways. Apple's support article on finding a Mac's serial number says it appears in About This Mac, in the System Information app under Hardware, and printed on the underside near the regulatory markings, as well as on the box. All of these should agree with the serial on your invoice.
- Check the model. System Information also shows the model identifier and the part number. Apple's "Identify your MacBook Air" and "Identify your MacBook Pro" pages list both, so you can confirm you received the generation you paid for.
- Check coverage. Enter each serial on checkcoverage.apple.com and save the result with the asset record.
- Check Activation Lock on anything not sealed. Apple's Activation Lock page explains that the lock stays on while Find My is enabled under someone's Apple Account. A demo or open box unit should reach you signed out and erased.
- Record the keyboard layout. Note whether each unit is English or Arabic and English, so replacements later match.
Red flags at the counter or on a listing
- The shop uses Apple's logo but does not appear in the locator under Sales.
- The box has a region code or keyboard layout that does not match what was quoted.
- The seller offers its "own warranty" in place of Apple's, or tells you Apple will not honour the device.
- The invoice is handwritten, has no TRN or no serial numbers.
- The Mac is sold as new, yet checkcoverage.apple.com shows its warranty cover already running from an earlier date.
- A business order is pushed through a personal bank transfer rather than to the company named on the licence.
None of these proves bad faith on its own, but each one is a reason to stop and verify before paying.
If your business does not need macOS
Many UAE companies buy Macs because a few designers need them, then find the rest of the team would be just as productive on Windows machines that fit existing management tools. That is where Codeeo Tech can help. We supply business laptops from Dell, HP, Lenovo and Asus, including refurbished units, priced by quotation. Examples from the catalogue include the HP EliteBook 830 G8, the Lenovo Yoga L13 and the Dell Latitude 5540. Our comparison of business and consumer laptops explains what to look for in a fleet.
Questions buyers ask about Apple sellers in the UAE
Is every shop in a Dubai mall selling iPhones and Macs an Apple Authorized Reseller?
No. Only the businesses listed in Apple's locator under Sales for the UAE are. Check the listing rather than relying on signage or staff assurances.
Can the shop that sold my Mac repair it under warranty?
Only if it is also an Apple Authorized Service Provider, which is a separate programme. Check the Service and Support section of the locator for repair locations.
Will a Mac bought in Dubai be repaired free in another country?
Not necessarily. Apple's warranty says service is limited to what is available in the country where you ask for it and that Apple may restrict service to the country or region of original sale. You may also pay shipping and duties.
How do company Macs get into Apple Business automatically?
Buy from Apple or a participating listed seller, ask them to link the order to their Reseller Number, and add that number to your approved suppliers in Apple Business. Other devices can be added manually with Apple Configurator.
Does Codeeo Tech sell Apple?
No. Codeeo Tech does not stock Apple products and is not an authorised Apple seller or service provider. For Apple, use Apple's locator. For Windows business laptops, networking and servers, we can quote.
